(Some were heard to utter later to have not only xPro on your team but PP and Hawkins too, that it could be regarded as cheating - that comment actually went unopposed.) Clearly, a popular choice, Banger!Įxtra barrels of Rum to xPro being first cab off the rank. Many were heard to nod and mutter "duh.of course.". The anticipation nicely built, Banger went and said it, " xPro". Our first Captain appeared (after the usual acceptable and classy late entrance) and began to speak.the arena fell silent in anticipation. It brought a fresh new look to the draft that has, for the most part, looked very similar for so long. I must admit, that the new rule put in place to not be able to pick certain players who've been picked first so many times really changed the draft (for me at least). I honestly didn't know how the community would respond to another draft after a lot of displeasure from #7. I gave my blessing to both and stayed on as a small advisor and banker for the drafts.įantasy Draft #8 - Holy DONATIONS! To have 2.7 Billion in Gold Coin donated for this draft blew my mind. After some time, I was approached by Teach for #7 and then by Clockwork for #8. My time availability to run the draft, how I like to run it, just isn't here. I think it went pretty well and my plan to stop was only cemented in more as some IRL personal changes happened too. (most of us anyway)įantasy Draft #6 - I admit that I had grown a little tired of the draft after #6. Having said that, here we are 5 years later, still drafting and having fun. You also can't please hundreds of players who have input on how they think the draft should be ran or changed for the better. You can't prepare for everything that will come to pass. With anything new, you can't foresee all possible outcomes. But it's hasn't been with out some headache as well. Like drafting with my friends IRL, the Fantasy Draft here for me was some of the best times I've had in the game. Never did I expect players to contribute Trillions of gold coin for this contest. Never did I think we would be playing more than 4 years later. My idea was to bring that concept to the world of Pirates Glory.įantasy Draft #1 was born. Picking the best, available player to fill our squad for the season. Before COVID we would rent out a meeting room, bring in a bunch of food and booze and draft our teams. I love to play Fantasy Football with my friends. I have to say that I am genuinely surprised the draft is still alive and kicking, especially after #7.
